Director of Business Development (East Coast)

Location: East Coast - USA

The Director of Business Development will have the responsibility of representing the Company to direct customers in the geographic area of responsibility. The BD Director will assist in the development of and support of all Company sales programs within the territory and support the Company in all aspects of customer care. This person is accountable for developing new customer relationships while maintaining the existing customer base. The BD Director will prepare penetration plans for major accounts and process requests for quotes and order submission. The BD Director will work directly with the sales team and other members of the company to maximize revenue and strategic value. This person will also generate reports to management on opportunities/challenges while developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of customer application requirements for Viking Technology DRAM and Flash products. The BDM will act as liaison between customer and factory on all commercial issues and provide management and direction to manufacturers’ reps as required.

Experience and Skills Required

  • BS Degree preferred
  • 10 years direct sales experience in Memory and Processor Products
  • Ability to communicate technically on product related issues
  • PC proficient in Windows environment
  • Previous proven track record of incremental sales increases
  • Ability to manage multiple customers, programs and projects
  • Tier 1 account experience preferred

Location: San Jose, CA - USA

Sr. Programmer Analyst - Progress

Location: Foothill Ranch, California, USA

Viking Technology is seeking an experienced Sr. Programmer Analyst specializing in Progress who will be developing, supporting, and manufacturing information systems and interfaces on multiple platforms. The successful candidate will be specifically responsible for project analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and training for application development activities, for supporting business and manufacturing processes, maintaining programming standards, project specification and planning, documentation requirements, meeting regulatory compliance standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley, and management reporting.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 8 years programming experience with Progress, CHUI. MFGPRO or Syteline experience a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of relational database schema and a clear understanding of software development, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of programming using Progress's forth generation programming language
  • Experience developing and supporting all modules in an ERP system, including manufacturing, distribution and financials (AR, AP and GL) a plus

 

Experience with the following technologies will be considered a benefit

  • ASP (HTML, Visual Basic, Javascript)
  • MS SQL Server
  • .NET
  • C#
  • SharePoint
  • Project Server
  • Tableau (Business Intelligence)
  • Solid communication skills with ability to interface effectively with internal and external business customers
